As with any algorithm run programme, the key is to ensure that algorithm is always improving.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that in the coming weeks we will be releasing an updated version of the Digital Influence Index algorithm.
To date, the algorithm has relied heavily on data from Twitter and Instagram. The new release will also take into account valuable Facebook and Instagram data, which greatly affects a retailer or town’s digital influence.
We know that digital influence can be linked to footfall, and that the higher the Digital Influence Index ranking, the greater the potential to see and experience an increase in footfall. For this reason, we’re excited for the new algorithm to be released.
In the coming weeks, you will see your ranking change, as The Index takes into account your Facebook activity.
You will also see your daily tips emails change to include suggestions for increasing your digital influence across all three major social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
