  1. To enter the #WDYT High Street promotion, entrants must take a photograph, or video from any high street business and post to Twitter or Instagram (public account) using the hashtag #WDYT and tagging any retailer ( eg. #johnlewis or @johnlewis). Alternatively, entrants upload their photo on www.facebook.com/heywdyt or to www.WDYT.org.uk/high-street-wdyt
  2. The competition is open to all UK and ROI residents aged 16 and over with the exception of the Promoter’s employees, their immediate families or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
  3. Bulk entries from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. It will be up to the promoter to decide if the photo’s are eligible to be displayed on the social hub.
  4. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed due to technical or other problems.
  5. The entrants’ Instagram or Twitter account must be set to public during the promotion period in order for Maybe* to see the promotion entry.
  6. Any entries that do not comply with the above entry requirements will be disqualified.
  7. Entries which are not tagged with #WDYT will be disqualified.
  8. Entrants cannot submit a picture on behalf of someone else. If a person is in the picture submitted, it must be the entrant themselves otherwise the entry will be disqualified. Only those posts that feature shopping, or high street images, shops, restaurants, pubs, services will be included on the social hub. Any blurry, duplicate, or offensive images will not be included and will not be eligible for the prize.
  9. Any entries containing any third party intellectual property without prior informed consent from the rights holder, or abusive, inappropriate, offensive or obscene language or imagery will be disqualified. Examples of language/images considered to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene, include (but are not limited to): any message/image which contains (a) swearing; (b) comments or actions which appear to be discriminatory of any person, company or group of individuals, for example comments of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature; (c) sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures; (d) promoting any illegal unlawful activity such as drug use; (e) any message that appears to be an advertisement or solicitation to buy
  10. Choosing a winner:  Winners will be selected at random from a pool of all approved entries submitted since the previous month. There will be at least 1 winner per week across all #WDYT competitions which include the Vote to Win competition and the High Street #WDYT.
  11. The Prize: Winners will get win the item shared in their post up to a maximum value of £100.
  12. If the winner entered through Twitter, they will be notified by a reply to their entry from the official Maybe* account @appmaybe or @HeyWDYT account.   If the winner is an Instagram account user entrant, they will be notified by a comment on their entry from the official official Maybe* account @appmaybe or @HeyWDYT account.
  13. The winners will then be asked for their email address to arrange prize delivery or pick up. Winners should allow up to 30 working days from the closing date for delivery of their prize. The prizes are as stated and are not transferable and there are no alternative prizes or cash substitutes. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize of like value in the event that the selected prize is unavailable for any reason whatsoever.
  14. The Promoter shall own all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the entries and any other materials (whether visual, oral or written) generated during the various stages of this promotion, in perpetuity and on a worldwide basis for use at the Promoter’s sole discretion including, without limitation, use in advertising, other media, press releases, editorial and promotional activity, point of sale material, the Promoter’s websites, third party websites (including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube), newsletters and e-newsletters.
  15. Entrants’ submissions, future submissions and quotes generated during any stage of the promotion may be modified by the Promoter to fit in context with the content of the relevant usage, whilst maintaining the original sentiment.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to not feature all entries due to space, time or editorial reasons.
  17. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. The winners agree to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from the competition. No additional compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities. No compensation for loss of earnings will be paid by the Promoter for participation in any aspect of this competition.
  19. If the prizes are declined or if a winner forfeits a prize under these terms and conditions, then another winner will be selected at random.
  20. The names of all the winners will be available on www.maybe.xyz or by writing to a Maybe* The Growth Hub, Oxstalls Campus, Oxstalls Ln, Longlevens, Gloucester GL2 9HW.
  21. The Promoter reserves the right to add to or vary these terms and conditions or cancel the competition at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its reasonable control.
  22. All personal details and/or information given in the entry form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants if they have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
  23. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions and Twitter Rules and Terms of Service, Twitter Policies and Guidelines for Contests on Twitter Guidelines for Contests on Twitter and the Instagram Terms  Instagram Privacy Policy and Instagram API Terms  Facebook Instagram Privacy Policy.
  24. English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this promotion.
  25. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with,  Twitter, or Instagram. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Twitter, or Instagram.  The information you provide will only be used as stated in these terms and conditions. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to have released, Twitter, and Instagram from any and all liability arising from their participation in the competition or out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the competition.
