Treasure Seekers gains a 1,105% increase in twitter followers

Kingfisher Treasure Seekers is an organisation set up to enhance the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Treasure Seekers believe that all people have something valuable to contribute to community and they want to help people become ‘the best versions of themselves’. This is done through a ‘wrap around’ approach of service delivery that equips and enables individuals to develop in their soft and social skills, receive specialist support and training, and grow positive social networks. Treasure Seekers has opened a newly furbished gift shop allowing people to get themselves into the community and real time.

Looking to draw in new customers to their brand new store and increase social followings, Treasure Seekers teamed up with #WDYT to offer a handmade wooden heart ornament.

Using the @GlCard feed, which showcases Gloucester’s local businesses, we asked followers to RT & follow @TSGiftShop for a chance to win – the competition received over 400 retweets, with an astounding 1,105% increase in twitter followers. The competition was also posted on facebook and Instagram which received an amazing 128% increase in followers.
